Eicher Trucks and Buses, a business unit of VE Commercial Vehicles Ltd (VECV), has launched Eicher Uptime NXT Services, powered by an AI-enabled Uptime Centre, marking the next phase in its aftermarket strategy. The initiative aims to move beyond conventional service support towards a proactive, intelligence-led ecosystem that improves vehicle availability, enhances fleet productivity and helps operators increase business profitability.
Designed to support the objectives of PM Gati Shakti in improving logistics efficiency, the new Uptime Centre integrates customers, technicians, engineers and technical experts through a centralised service platform. It combines connected vehicle data and service intelligence to enable coordinated interventions, faster diagnosis and improved operational support. Its offerings include fuel advisory, driver scorecards, vehicle-operation insights, vehicle immobiliser support and proactive service interventions, helping fleet operators improve fuel efficiency, driver performance and cost management.
B Srinivas, MD & CEO, VE Commercial Vehicles, said, “For our customers, uptime directly impacts productivity, profitability and business continuity. At Eicher, our vision has therefore been to create an ecosystem that helps keep vehicles operating at their best -everyday. By bringing together connected technology, predictive insights, a responsive service network and strong aftermarket support, we are moving towards a more proactive approach to uptime — one that anticipates customer needs, minimizes disruptions and enables customers to run their businesses with greater confidence and predictability. Our ambition is to make uptime a defining part of the Eicher ownership experience.”
Eicher introduced its dedicated Uptime Centre in 2019 to provide centralised customer support. Since then, the company has expanded its capabilities across vehicle health monitoring, diagnostics, service network intelligence, parts availability and product performance. These functions now form an integrated ecosystem in which real-time vehicle information supports service delivery, while feedback from service operations contributes to product quality improvements. The initiative builds on the company’s established Eicher Maane Uptime proposition, recognised by transporters across India.
The ecosystem is complemented by the My Eicher app, which brings together live vehicle tracking, fuel management, trip management, fleet performance, predictive uptime, driver safety, and service and support features on a single platform. The platform currently supports more than 200,000 customers and connects over 460,000 vehicles, extending Eicher’s connected services and operational insights across its customer base.
S S Gill, Chief Commercial Officer, VE Commercial Vehicles, said, “The new Uptime Centre brings together the people, technology and intelligence needed to manage uptime more proactively and at scale. The Uptime Control Tower gives our teams greater visibility across vehicle and service operations, while our Gen AI-powered platform bring actionable intelligence closer to our service teams and technicians. This enables faster diagnosis, better coordination and stronger First-Time-Right performance, helping us reduce disruptions and deliver a more seamless service experience for our customers.”
Through the integration of connected vehicles, predictive analytics, digital customer interfaces and AI-enabled service support, Eicher is positioning uptime as a central element of its ownership proposition. The approach focuses on improving vehicle reliability, strengthening workshop responsiveness and reducing operational disruptions, with the broader objective of helping fleet operators achieve greater efficiency and more predictable business outcomes.
