ACME Solar secures 450 MW FDRE power contract with SJVN

ACME Solar Holdings has expanded its firm and dispatchable renewable energy (FDRE) portfolio after its subsidiary, ACME Greentech Seventh, entered into two long-term power purchase agreements with SJVN for a combined capacity of 450 MW along with 1,800 MWh of energy storage. The agreements, signed in March 2026, will remain valid for a period of 25 years.

The projects will be linked to inter-state transmission system substations and are expected to utilise the company’s night-time connectivity available in Rajasthan’s high solar irradiation zones. As part of the agreement, ACME Solar will deliver four hours of assured peak power during non-solar periods while maintaining a minimum availability of 90 per cent on both monthly and annual bases.

With the addition of this contract, ACME Solar has signed power purchase agreements for 1,690 MW during the current financial year, taking its total PPA-backed capacity to 6,270 MW.

The contract was awarded under the Tranche-FDRE-4 tender issued through tariff-based competitive bidding guidelines. The tender process included an e-reverse auction conducted in October 2025, following which the company received the letter of award in November 2025.

ACME Solar Holdings operates as an integrated renewable energy developer with a diversified portfolio spanning solar, wind, energy storage, FDRE and hybrid solutions. The company currently manages a total capacity of 8,071 MW, including 2,966 MW of operational contracted projects and 5,105 MW under various stages of construction. In addition, the company’s pipeline includes nearly 17 GWh of battery energy storage systems aimed at supporting reliable renewable power supply.
