Airfloa Rail Technology has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Janatics Industrial Automation to jointly develop and supply advanced automatic door systems for railway applications.
The collaboration will focus on a comprehensive range of products, including double leaf plug doors, automatic single leaf plug doors, pocket sliding doors, and automatic fire barrier doors, designed for deployment across freight EMUs and next-generation passenger platforms. Under the agreement, Airfloa will spearhead tender participation, customer interface, and end-to-end project execution, while leveraging Janatics’ expertise in industrial automation.
This strategic tie-up is expected to reinforce Airfloa’s presence in the rapidly expanding market for automatic door systems, a critical subsystem in modern railway rolling stock. By broadening its product portfolio and delivery capabilities, the company aims to deepen its involvement across both component supply and integrated railway projects.
The partnership aligns with Airfloa’s longer-term strategy of disciplined execution and sustained participation in modern railway programmes, positioning it to capture opportunities arising from the ongoing upgrade and indigenisation of India’s rail infrastructure.
