Amber Dubey has assumed charge as Chief Executive Officer (Aero) at Adani Airport Holdings Ltd. In his new role, Dubey will lead the group’s airport and aviation strategy, with a focus on operational excellence, infrastructure development, and long-term growth across Adani Group’s expanding aviation portfolio.
AAHL, the airport infrastructure arm of the Adani Group and a wholly owned subsidiary of Adani Enterprises Ltd, currently operates eight airports across India, including Mumbai, Navi Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Lucknow, Jaipur, Guwahati, Mangaluru, and Thiruvananthapuram. Dubey’s appointment comes at a critical phase as the group continues to scale capacity, enhance passenger experience, and strengthen its position in India’s aviation ecosystem.
With over 34 years of professional experience spanning aviation, infrastructure, manufacturing, management consulting, and public policy, Dubey brings a comprehensive perspective to the role. His career includes senior leadership and advisory positions across leading global consulting firms and academic institutions. Prior to joining AAHL, he served as Senior Advisor at McKinsey & Company and as Acting Vice Chancellor of Rajiv Gandhi National Aviation University. His earlier roles include Partner and Head of Aviation and Defence at KPMG, Manager at Arthur Andersen & Co, and Senior Consultant at AF Ferguson, now part of Deloitte. He began his professional journey at the Steel Authority of India as an Assistant Manager.
Dubey has also played a significant role in public service and policy formulation. In 2019, he was selected among a group of professionals by the Government of India for key policy-making responsibilities. As Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Civil Aviation between 2019 and 2022, he led several landmark initiatives related to drone policy, pilot training reforms, aviation education, and capacity-building programmes.
In addition, Dubey has been actively associated with industry bodies, serving as Co-Chair of Aviation at the Confederation of Indian Industry, the US-India Business Council, and the American Chamber of Commerce in India. His contributions to the sector were formally recognised in 2012 for his role in advancing Indian aviation.
Beyond his professional achievements, Dubey is also an accomplished athlete. He represented Haryana in the 400-metre sprint (55–60 years category) at the 2025 National Masters Athletics Championships in Bengaluru, securing a sixth-place finish among 14 finalists, and is currently training with the goal of achieving a podium finish in 2026.
With his blend of industry leadership, policy experience, and strategic insight, Dubey’s appointment is expected to further strengthen AAHL’s vision of building world-class airport infrastructure aligned with India’s growing aviation demand.
