Astral Ltd announced the launch of its extensive new paint line, Astral Paints. Astral Ltd’s new brand offers a wide array of options tailored to the needs of painters, designers, and homeowners alike, featuring an impressive selection of colours, finishes, and specialised formulations.
Following the acquisition of a majority stake in Gem Paints in 2022, Astral Ltd has been meticulously preparing to enter the paint industry. The initial phase of the launch is taking place in Bengaluru, utilizing three state-of-the-art paint units. The company plans to expand its paint line across India in phases, beginning with Karnataka and Gujarat.

Our consistent and strategic approach has proven successful with our other ventures such as adhesives, construction chemicals, and bathware, and we will maintain this same momentum with paints. While we are not in a rush to go pan-India, we will strategically and incrementally introduce our products into different markets, with the aim of covering the entire country within the next three years.”
Astral Paints is designed to meet a wide range of applications, ensuring an ideal solution for every project. The range includes decorative paints for interior and exterior emulsions, spanning luxury, premium, and economy segments. The interior emulsions are available under the product names Elita, Esteema, and Styla, while the exterior emulsions are marketed as Extura Plus, Extura, and Raga. Additionally, Astral Paints offers an extensive selection of undercoats through primers and putties, synthetic enamels, and ancillary products like rollers and brushes.
With an extensive colour palette of over 1,400 shades, Astral Paints provides a diverse selection from timeless classics to the latest trends, enabling any vision to come to life. Recognising consumer needs, Astral has also introduced specialty paints such as Kitchen Special Paint, which features high durability and oil-resistant properties.
The launch event, held at a leading hotel in Bengaluru, saw the attendance of over 300 channel partners and featured the presence of the Engineer family and the senior Astral Ltd team. The event was marked by enthusiastic participation from all attendees, with the Engineer family unveiling the ‘Astral Paints Logo’ and launching the ‘Astral Paints Product Range.’
