BEML Ltd has launched its latest indigenously designed and developed Motor Grader BG 1205. The unveiling ceremony took place at the company’s Mysuru complex and was officiated by Shantanu Roy, Chairman and Managing Director, BEML Ltd, who flagged off the equipment in the presence of Harish Duhan, Chairman and Managing Director of South Eastern Coalfields Ltd (SECL), along with BEML’s functional directors and senior officers.
The launch of the BG 1205 marks a significant step towards strengthening India’s mining infrastructure and reinforces BEML’s steadfast commitment to the Government of India’s Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative. The new Motor Grader is a testament to the company’s engineering expertise and its vision of achieving self-reliance in high-performance mining solutions.
The BG 1205 features a 24 foot blade and has been purpose-built for high-intensity operations, particularly in demanding mining regions such as SECL Bilaspur and Northern Coalfields Ltd (NCL) in Singrauli. It is specifically tailored to meet the evolving needs of road-laying operations that cater to high-capacity dumpers, thereby ensuring greater productivity, operational efficiency, and sustainability in mining environments.
