As part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) commitment, CASE Construction Equipment, a brand of CNH, has launched Project Vijeta, a skill development initiative designed to enhance the employability of underprivileged youth across several Indian states. The programme aims to bridge the skill gap in the construction equipment sector by equipping participants with essential technical knowledge and hands-on experience, specifically in the sales domain of heavy equipment such as Backhoe Loaders.
Aligned with the Government of India’s Skill India Mission and supporting the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDG 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth and SDG 10: Reduced Inequalities), Vijeta is tailored to create a future-ready workforce while promoting inclusive growth and equal opportunities in the sector.
Speaking on the initiative, Puneet Vidyarthi, Head-Brand Marketing, CASE Construction Equipment, APAC & India, said, “At CASE, we are deeply committed to empowering communities through our impactful Skill Development initiatives. The ‘Vijeta’ initiative, aligned with the Skill India Mission, not only equips youth with technical expertise and hands-on experience but also helps bridge a skill gap in the construction equipment sales and operations. By fostering a future-ready workforce, we hope to build a robust talent pipeline in this industry and contribute to India’s economic growth.”
The training programme employs a blended learning model—integrating both online modules and offline practical sessions—complemented by real-time industry exposure at CASE’s construction equipment dealerships. Over a period of three months, participants will be trained in managing sales leads, customer engagement, financial query handling, and effective communication. The initiative will also focus on developing teamwork and interpersonal skills essential for sales professionals in the heavy equipment sector.
Targeting regions with a high density of youth unemployment, the programme will be rolled out across Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi NCR, Haryana, Punjab, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, and Odisha. To ensure that financial constraints do not hinder participation, trainees will receive a monthly stipend throughout the duration of their training.
With Project Vijeta, CASE Construction Equipment reaffirms its long-standing commitment to social development and inclusive growth by creating sustainable career pathways for India’s youth in the construction industry.
