CASE launches made-in-India Skid Steer Loader

CASE's launch of the Made-in-India Skid Steer Loader highlights its commitment to local manufacturing in the Indian construction industry.

CASE Construction Equipment, a CNH brand, has launched its indigenously manufactured Skid Steer Loader (SSL) for the Indian market. Produced at the company’s state-of-the-art facility in Pithampur, Madhya Pradesh, this significant rollout extends CASE’s product range in the country. The announcement was first made during the previous edition of CII EXCON, marking an important milestone in the company’s journey to meet the evolving demands of the Indian construction industry. CASE India handed over the first SSL – the SR130B model – to its inaugural Indian customer, Global Enterprises based in Pune.

On this notable occasion, Shalabh Chaturvedi, Managing Director, CASE Construction Equipment – India and SAARC region, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “We are delighted to offer our made-in-Pithampur Skid Steer Loader for the Indian market. Expanding our product portfolio is a step towards leveraging the enormous prospects that the country presents to the CE industry with its increased focus on infrastructural development. With our full range of construction equipment, we hope to establish ourselves as a reliable partner on the road to Viksit Bharat.”

Satendra Tiwari, Executive Director-Operations, highlighted the global reach of their facility, saying, “We have been exporting world-class equipment from our Pithampur facility to 105 countries, across several parts of the world in addition to India. We are pleased to provide Indian customers with these exceptional machines that boast cutting-edge technology and outstanding performance. We hope to see more of these machines on Indian roads, strengthening the nation’s infrastructure.”

Breaking gender stereotypes, the production line for the world-class quality SSL at CASE’s Pithampur plant is women-led, a unique feature in the manufacturing industry. The India-built SSL SR130B is equipped with a 49hp, BS3 compliant Perkins engine, featuring a rated operating capacity (ROC) of 590kg and an operating weight of 2.3 tonnes.

In addition to the new skid steer loaders, CASE India’s Pithampur facility produces a comprehensive range of construction equipment, including vibratory compactors, excavators, and backhoe loaders, reinforcing its position as a key player in the Indian construction equipment market.
