Conmat Heavy Industries marked a significant presence at EXCON 2025, reinforcing its ambitions to emerge as a comprehensive infrastructure equipment solutions provider aligned with India’s vision of becoming a developed nation by 2047. The company showcased an extensive portfolio of over 25 machines, highlighting its strategic expansion beyond concrete equipment into earthmoving and infrastructure machinery.
During the exhibition, Conmat underlined the rapid growth potential of India’s concrete construction equipment market, which is expected to grow from approximately Rs 88 billion to around Rs 230 billion by 2029, driven by large-scale infrastructure development, urbanisation, and adoption of advanced technologies. The company also emphasised India’s growing role in the global concrete equipment market under the ‘Make in India for the World’ initiative.
At EXCON, Conmat showcased its strengthened capabilities following the acquisition of 100 per cent shareholding from Japanese conglomerate KYB Corporation. The move has enabled the company to leverage in-house design, development, and manufacturing strengths to cater to both domestic and global demand.
A major highlight of Conmat’s showcase was the national debut of its new excavator range, marking the company’s entry into the earthmoving segment. Alongside excavators, Conmat also displayed wheel loaders, soil compactors, and other infrastructure machinery aimed at large and complex projects such as highways, railways, tunnels, ports, airports, and power plants. These machines were engineered with BS-V compliant engines, advanced hydraulic systems, intelligent work modes, operator-centric cabin designs, and real-time telematics for performance monitoring.
Conmat also announced that its globally recognised Arrow Slipform Kerb Paving Machines will now be manufactured in India to cater to international markets, strengthening the company’s export focus. In addition, a new range of compact tracked equipment—including aerial work platforms, telehandlers, concrete mixers, and loaders—was showcased, targeting urban construction and specialised applications.
Sustainability formed a strong pillar of Conmat’s EXCON narrative. The company displayed a wide range of electrically operated machines, including electric concrete paving machines and electric concrete pumps. Conmat also showcased newly developed electric self-loading mixers, wheel loaders, transit mixers, and trailer trucks. These electric machines have been entirely designed, developed, and tested in India using indigenously developed drive systems and motors without rare earth magnets, reducing import dependence and lowering overall machine costs.
According to the company, this indigenous electric technology is expected to make electric construction equipment more affordable, deliver faster returns on investment, and accelerate the adoption of sustainable solutions across infrastructure projects.
Through its participation at EXCON 2025, Conmat reinforced its commitment to Atmanirbhar Bharat, advanced manufacturing, and green technology, while signalling its readiness to support India’s next phase of infrastructure growth with globally competitive, sustainable equipment.
