CRI Solar wins Rs 320 crore MSEDCL order for 10,714 Solar Water Pumps

CRI Solar, a division of CRI Pumps has been awarded the Letter of Empanelment (LOE) by the Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Ltd (MSEDCL) for the design, supply, installation, and commissioning of 10,714 Off-Grid DC Solar Photovoltaic Water Pumping Systems (SPWPS). The project, valued at Rs 320 crore, is part of the ‘Magel Tyala Saur Krushi Pump’ Yojana.

The SPWPS, available in 3 HP, 5 HP, and 7.5 HP capacities, feature inbuilt IoT-enabled Remote Monitoring Systems (RMS) and are backed by a five-year warranty covering repairs and maintenance. The initiative is expected to improve water access in underserved and off-grid rural regions, reduce reliance on conventional energy, enhance irrigation reliability, and boost agricultural productivity and rural prosperity.

Project execution will commence as per MSEDCL’s stipulated timelines, with CRI Solar leveraging its expertise in large-scale solar deployments to ensure timely, efficient, and high-quality implementation.

Commenting on this development, G. Soundararajan, Chairman, CRI, said:
