Cummins India Ltd has introduced an innovative clean air solution – the Retrofit Aftertreatment System (RAS). This advanced technology allows customers to retrofit their existing CPCBII and CPCBI gensets to meet the latest genset emission regulations, ensuring compliance without the need for complete system replacements.
The RAS device is designed to reduce harmful emissions from genset exhausts by up to 90 per cent, including Particulate Matter (PM), Carbon Monoxide (CO), and Hydrocarbons (HC). With its compact design, RAS offers a space-saving solution that minimizes both operational and maintenance costs, making it a highly efficient and cost-effective option for businesses.
Commenting on the launch, Pankaj Kapoor, Vice President – Distribution, Cummins India Ltd, said, “At Cummins, we are steadfast in our commitment to help our customers in transitioning to cleaner and greener technologies. RAS offers an innovative and dependable solution for customers with CPCBII and CPCBI gensets, ensuring compliance with stringent emission standards. Designed to offer low operational and maintenance costs, this product prioritizes customer satisfaction and peace of mind. Reducing the impacts of climate change remains one of our top priorities, and we will continue to uphold our brand promise of innovation and dependability through solutions that benefit both our customers and the environment.”
The RAS system is powered by Diesel Oxidation Catalyst and Particulate Filter technology and has been approved by the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI).
