
Daifuku Intralogistics India Pvt Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Japan-based Daifuku Co Ltd, has launched a state-of-the-art Mega Factory at Chandanvelly, Hyderabad, marking a significant step forward in its commitment to smart manufacturing and automation in India.
Situated in the industrial hub of Sangareddy district, the new facility is equipped with modern manufacturing systems and live demonstration zones, tailored to meet the needs of sectors such as e-commerce, automotive, FMCG, and warehousing. The factory has been developed to enhance the company’s capability to deliver efficient, scalable, and customised intralogistics solutions across the region.
The inauguration featured a blend of ceremonial and corporate proceedings, including a factory tour for delegates from India and Japan. The event brought together key leadership figures from Daifuku’s global and Indian operations, highlighting the company’s long-term vision for the Indian market.
Leadership from Daifuku highlighted that the new facility is intended to serve as a hub for innovation, talent development, and locally engineered solutions. The investment is seen as part of a broader vision to contribute meaningfully to India’s industrial ecosystem while aligning operations with global standards.
With the new Mega Factory, Daifuku aims to localise the majority of its manufacturing in India—up to 95 per cent—positioning the facility as a strategic base for delivering comprehensive intralogistics solutions to both Indian and international markets.
