The Government of Karnataka is playing a pivotal role as the Host State for EXCON 2023.
The theme for the Twelfth Edition of EXCON is ‘Building India’s Tomorrow,’ reflecting core principles of Technology, Globalization, Sustainability, and Inclusiveness. As Deepak Garg, Managing Director of Sany Heavy Industry India Pvt Ltd, aptly puts it, “EXCON 2023 is more than just an event; it serves as the driving force behind India’s continuous progress, symbolizing our robust infrastructure development and solidifying India’s prominent position as a global hub for construction equipment manufacturing.”
This year, the construction industry is on the brink of a technological revolution, with Generative AI leading the way to optimize design processes and generate highly efficient and innovative designs. This marks a pivotal moment for the industry as it targets a remarkable 15 per cent year-on-year growth over the next five years. The ambitious goal underscores a commitment to providing cutting-edge machinery and equipment to transform construction projects across India, focusing on innovation, efficiency, and sustainability.
The government’s dedication to the infrastructure sector is evident through a substantial allocation of Rs 10 lakh crore (US$ 130.57 billion) to strengthen the sector. The government is embracing technology within the construction landscape, identifying 54 innovative global technologies under a technology sub-mission, paving the way for a more inclusive roadmap for all stakeholders.
EXCON 2023 offers a range of highlights, including a focus on Alternate Fuels, AI Pavilion, Aatma Nirbhar Bharat, Skills, Women operating construction equipment and machinery, and conferences on Defense & Paramilitary, Green Construction, AI & IoT, and Automation in the Construction Engineering Sector, among others.
EXCON 2023 is more than just an event; it is a catalyst for India’s continuous progress, epitomizing robust infrastructure development and cementing India’s global position in the construction equipment manufacturing sector.
This dual-purpose platform combines marketing and education for all stakeholders. It serves as an educational forum for government officials, private contractors, builders, road and infrastructure developers, and more. They can explore the latest technology, equipment, and machinery, accelerating the nation’s infrastructure development.
The event showcases leading construction equipment manufacturers, presenting machinery adaptability and advancements in construction technologies. These exhibitors emphasize economical solutions to expedite project execution while upholding quality, safety, and environmental sustainability standards.
Notable organizations participating in the event include JCB, BKT, Caterpillar, Imperial Auto, Jindal Steel & Power, Gulf Oil, Kobelco, KYB, Larsen and Toubro, Puzzolana, Sany, Schwing Stetter, and others.
