JCB has unveiled its first diesel-powered Telescopic Boom Platform, the T 65D, during the Aerial Platform Association of India’s (APAOI) conference in Goa. The T 65D is manufactured at JCB’s state-of-the-art facility in Jaipur, underscoring the company’s focus on producing world-class, Made-in-India machines.
Speaking at the launch, Deepak Shetty, CEO and Managing Director, JCB India, said, “This world-class machine is designed around Safety and Productivity and gives our customers the option to buy Made-in-India machines with full product support. Our customers can now buy new equipment with full warranty and JCB support backup and not depend on used imports. We have invested significantly in our Jaipur facility so that these machines can be built, to one-global-quality standard.”
The T 65D features a platform height of 65 ft 4 in, a reach of 56 ft 6 in, and a maximum load capacity of 450 kg. Powered by a JCB diesel engine, the machine includes two work zones and an 8 ft platform, with a total weight of 12,500 kg. The T 65D comes standard with four-wheel drive and advanced safety features such as a secondary guarding system and crush hazard protection, ensuring operator safety at all times. Additionally, the machine offers increased productivity through intuitive controls, an oscillating starting angle, and ergonomic joystick design for fatigue-free operation.
Shetty further added, “India is a strong economy in the world today. As business and trade increase, so will the opportunities for products such as the Telescopic Boom Lift. The T 65D is available not only for the Domestic market, which is expected to significantly grow over the next few years, but also for exports around the world.”
The T 65D is set to be a key player in industries such as construction, cement, and oil & gas, and is also well-suited for use at airports, warehouses, and any application requiring high-altitude operations. JCB has established a dedicated distribution network for these machines, with 11 specialized dealers offering trained engineers and parts backup to ensure seamless operation across India.
