JCBL Marrel Tippers Ltd (JML) has announced a major expansion of its manufacturing facility in Oragadam, Chennai. This strategic move is designed to meet the increasing demand for JML’s diverse, high-quality, and value-added products across sectors such as defense, automotive, construction, and more.
The expansion will increase the facility’s production capacity by 25 per cent, allowing JML to better serve its growing customer base. It will also create 200 local jobs and establish new supply chain opportunities in Tamil Nadu. The first phase of the expansion has added over 60,000 sq ft, with plans for a further 50,000 sq ft in the second phase.
JML’s commitment to sustainability is evident, with the plant already operating on a 300KW solar power system and plans to expand solar capacity to 6,750 KW per day. Additionally, the facility will implement water management systems and greenery initiatives to reduce its environmental impact.
