Ramco Systems, ST Engineering sign MoU to advance next-gen digital aviation solutions

Global aviation software provider Ramco Systems has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Commercial Aerospace business of ST Engineering to explore a long-term strategic business and technology partnership focused on developing next-generation digital solutions for the global aerospace industry.

The proposed collaboration aims to combine advanced digital capabilities with deep domain expertise to address evolving demands across the aviation maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) landscape. As part of the agreement, both organisations will assess the feasibility of establishing a jointly operated Competency Centre and Innovation Lab in Singapore. The proposed facility is envisioned as a hub for accelerating digital transformation and advancing AI-enabled solutions across key aviation MRO functions.

The partnership seeks to leverage ST Engineering’s established strengths in Airframe, Engine and Component MRO services, along with its original equipment manufacturer (OEM) and engineering capabilities that include nacelles design and manufacturing, cabin interior solutions, and passenger-to-freighter conversions. These capabilities will be integrated with Ramco’s specialised aviation software suite and its agentic AI-driven platform technologies.

Jeffrey Lam, President Commercial Aerospace, ST Engineering, said: “This potential collaboration builds on our ongoing digital transformation journey. By pairing our operational experience and know-how with Ramco’s aviation and AI expertise, we can unlock new avenues to boost MRO efficiency and further enhance the value delivered to our customers.”

Sandesh Bilagi, President & COO, Ramco Systems, said, “We are delighted to partner with ST Engineering, a global leader in commercial aerospace services, to shape the next generation of digital aviation platforms. Ramco will support this initiative with its aviation product suite and AI-driven platforms, enabling the agility, regulatory compliance, and operational depth required to scale with confidence. This collaboration reflects our shared vision of working with industry leaders like ST Engineering to co-create future-ready solutions for the aviation ecosystem.”

The MoU reflects a shared strategic vision to drive innovation in aerospace digitalisation, strengthen operational resilience and create scalable, future-ready platforms for the global aviation ecosystem.
