Saint-Gobain Gyproc India has inaugurated the ITI Wada Skill Training Centre, an initiative designed to equip students with future-ready skills in the Drywall and False Ceiling trades. This first-of-its-kind collaboration with a Government ITI marks a significant milestone in the company’s ongoing mission to develop a highly skilled workforce for India’s booming construction sector.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Mahesh Sedam, District Vocational Education and Training Officer, Palghar, alongside key representatives from Gyproc India. This training centre is the 10th skill development facility established by the company, further cementing its commitment to bridging the skill gap in the industry.
Developed in collaboration with Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Wada, the centre aims to redefine vocational training by offering a structured learning approach tailored to meet industry demands. With the construction sector rapidly evolving and requiring highly trained professionals, this initiative ensures that students gain hands-on expertise in the latest materials, tools, and methodologies used in modern interiors and construction.
The program combines theoretical knowledge with practical training, ensuring that participants graduate with industry-relevant skills. By doing so, Gyproc India is actively elevating industry standards while providing students with lucrative career opportunities in the growing construction landscape.
