Schwing Stetter India, Qucev unveil India’s first Battery Electric Transit Concrete Mixer

Schwing Stetter India, in partnership with Qucev Technologies, has unveiled India’s first Battery Electric Transit Concrete Mixer (eRMC) at EXCON 2025 in Bengaluru, marking a significant milestone in the country’s construction equipment sector. The launch reinforces the shared vision of both companies to accelerate the adoption of sustainable, high-performance mobility solutions for India’s rapidly expanding infrastructure ecosystem.

The newly introduced 7 m³ Electric Transit Mixer has been engineered to deliver notable gains in energy efficiency, operational cost savings, and long-term lifecycle value. Designed to meet the demanding requirements of ready-mix concrete operations, the eRMC integrates an advanced electric powertrain, enhanced safety architecture, and robust performance engineering to deliver both economic and environmental advantages.

Powering the eRMC is the BYD-patented Super Safe LFP Blade Battery, recognised for its superior safety standards, thermal stability, and extended service life. The 192.5 kWh battery pack supports 240 kW dual CCS2 DC fast charging, enabling a full charge in approximately one hour—making it well suited for high-utilisation and time-sensitive construction applications.

In terms of performance, the mixer is equipped with a drum motor rated at up to 20 kW with a maximum torque of 130 Nm, ensuring consistent, efficient, and reliable mixing operations. The vehicle also features a newly redesigned, ultra-modern cabin aimed at improving operator comfort, visibility, and overall safety, particularly during extended working shifts.

Speaking at the launch, N K Rawal, MD & CEO, Qucev Technologies, said:
“We believe in continuous innovation and providing the best quality products to our esteemed customers. The eRMC represents our shared commitment with Schwing Stetter India to accelerate India’s transition toward sustainable and efficient construction mobility.”

Echoing this sentiment, V G Sakthi Kumar, Managing Director, Schwing Stetter India, said:
“We are happy to be associated with Qucev for this landmark launch. At Schwing Stetter, we are committed to driving more electric equipment in the construction equipment industry. This collaboration is another step toward building a cleaner, greener, and more efficient future for our customers.”

According to Schwing Stetter India, the electric transit mixer establishes a new benchmark for sustainable concrete transportation by combining high-quality ready-mix concrete delivery with reduced emissions and lower operating costs. The eRMC is expected to significantly improve operating economics, strengthening its appeal among contractors and fleet operators seeking future-ready, environmentally responsible construction solutions.
