Shree Cement adds 3.0 MTPA cement capacity with RAS Unit-11

Shree Cement has commissioned RAS Unit-11 at its integrated manufacturing facility in Jaitaran, marking a significant capacity expansion at one of the largest single-location cement complexes in Asia.

The newly commissioned unit adds 3.65 million ton per annum (MTPA) of clinker capacity and 3.0 MTPA of cement capacity, strengthening the company’s clinkerisation and grinding capabilities at a single site. Designed as a fully integrated unit, RAS Unit-11 enhances operational efficiency and supports streamlined production to meet growing demand across key North Indian markets.

With the addition of RAS Unit-11, Shree Cement’s total cement production capacity in India has increased to 65.8 MTPA, reinforcing the company’s position among the country’s leading large-scale cement manufacturers.

The unit is equipped with advanced automation systems, modern infrastructure, and energy-efficient technologies, including a 22 MW waste heat recovery system and increased use of alternative fuels. These measures align with Shree Cement’s focus on responsible resource utilisation, energy efficiency, and sustainable manufacturing practices.

This expansion reflects the company’s disciplined approach to capacity growth while continuing to invest in technology-led efficiency and long-term operational resilience.
