StockHolding Corporation of India Ltd (SHCIL) has appointed Atul Saxena as its new Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. With over 25 years of rich experience in management, technical consulting, corporate finance, and capital markets, Saxena brings a wealth of expertise to his new role.
Saxena’s career has been marked by significant contributions in various senior-level roles, particularly at IFCI Ltd, where he has been instrumental in steering strategic and operational initiatives for more than a decade. His leadership during his tenure as Managing Director of IFCI Infrastructure Development Ltd was particularly notable, guiding the company through the challenging COVID-19 period. His recent role as Chief General Manager and Principal Officer at IFCI Ltd further highlights his capability in overseeing key financial and operational functions.
In addition to his executive roles, Saxena has accumulated extensive board experience, serving as a Nominee and Non-Executive Director on the Boards of various companies for over a decade. His insights into corporate governance and strategic planning have proven invaluable in these capacities.
Before joining IFCI, Saxena held prominent positions with Engineers India Ltd and PwC, where he developed his skills in engineering and consulting. His academic credentials include a degree in Civil Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur and a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta.
