Tenneco Appoints Arvind Chandra as CEO of Tenneco India

Tenneco has announced the appointment of Arvind Chandra as Chief Executive Officer of Tenneco India. Chandra will assume leadership of the company’s operations across its key business divisions in India, including Clean Air, Monroe Ride Solutions (MRS), Champion Ignition, and Powertrain (Bearings and Sealings).

In his new role, Chandra will be responsible for driving Tenneco India’s strategic growth, overseeing all business operations and initiatives across one of the company’s most significant markets.

Chandra brings with him a wealth of experience in the automotive sector, having served in senior leadership roles at global organizations such as Delphi, Wabco, Faurecia (now Forvia), and Minda Corporation. Most recently, he was the India CEO of Aliaxis Group. His career spans several decades, with a strong track record in manufacturing, sales, marketing, engineering, and global business leadership across diverse geographies.

Rishi Verma, President of Tenneco India, will report directly to Chandra and continue to lead day-to-day operations. The current leadership structure under Verma will remain unchanged. Additionally, Verma will assume expanded responsibilities for Tenneco’s pistons, rings, and valve seats and guides (VSG) businesses within the Powertrain Solutions division in India.
