Environmental Solutions (ES), a business segment of Terex Corporation has announced the opening of its new technical Centre of Excellence in Whitefield, Bengaluru. This state-of-the-art facility expands ES’s global footprint and enhances its capability to serve customers worldwide.
The new facility, known as TIRC ES (Terex India R&D Centre, Environmental Solutions), joins ES’s established network of Centres of Excellence in Austin, Texas; Chattanooga, Tennessee; and San Diego, California. The Bengaluru team will focus on advancing digital technologies, Refuse Collection Vehicles (RCVs), and Stationary solutions such as compactors and balers. It will also provide Technical and Manufacturing Engineering support for ES brands, including Heil®, Marathon®, and 3rd Eye®.
Spanning 17,700 sq ft, the centre features a dedicated electrical lab along with hardware and software testing zones. It also includes a 5,600 sq ft test lab for lifecycle testing to support product development. The facility is staffed by 160 team members, who transitioned from Dover India on July 1, following Terex’s acquisition of Environmental Solutions Group from Dover Corporation in October 2024.

The inauguration was marked by a traditional Indian Pooja ceremony, symbolizing prosperity and new beginnings, followed by onboarding sessions and a welcome from leadership teams across the organization.
