ZF Group has made a decisive move into India’s powertrain and next-generation mobility sector by securing multiple high-value contracts for advanced automotive testing systems. The agreements, valued in the multi-million-euro range, cover solutions for both powertrain and tyre manufacturing, strengthening the company’s presence in the country’s growing automotive ecosystem.
A key highlight is the supply of India’s first 440 kW transmission and differential unit test bench. Built with a 3E dyno configuration, the system connects directly to the device under test, removing the need for intermediate gearboxes or chains. This design not only reduces energy losses but also improves testing precision. Its movable dyno system offers horizontal adjustments, enabling compatibility with a wide range of equipment types.
In the tyre segment, the orders include rolling resistance, endurance, and high-speed testing benches for passenger cars and two-wheelers, as well as fully automated end-of-line inspection systems. These solutions will be installed at major Indian tyre production and R&D facilities, enhancing product quality control and supporting new product development.
The contracts also introduce a new portfolio of mid- and large-sized powertrain benches, along with low-speed uniformity and balancing systems, engineered specifically for the Indian market. Collectively, these installations are expected to elevate testing standards, improve manufacturing efficiency, and contribute to safer, more sustainable mobility solutions in the country.
