Messe Muenchen India launches India RentX

Messe Muenchen India launches India RentX to strengthen construction equipment rental ecosystem

Messe Muenchen India, in association with the Aerial Platform Association of India (APAI), has announced the launch of India RentX, a new trade fair focused on India’s growing construction equipment rental industry. The inaugural edition is scheduled to take place in September 2027 at the Jio World Convention Centre, BKC, Mumbai.

Positioned as a dedicated business platform, India RentX will bring together equipment rental companies, manufacturers, dealers, service providers and technology companies with senior decision-makers from infrastructure, construction, real estate and industrial projects. The visitor profile is expected to include C-suite executives, project directors, procurement heads, plant and equipment leaders, operations teams and safety professionals involved in equipment deployment and fleet strategy.

Bhupinder Singh, President IMEA, Messe München and CEO, Messe Muenchen India, said, “As India’s project economy expands, equipment access is becoming a strategic delivery decision. India RentX will bring senior project leaders together with rental companies and the wider equipment ecosystem to discuss fleet capability, deployment, service and commercial models. The trade fair will provide a dedicated platform for companies evaluating rental-led equipment access across construction, infrastructure and industrial projects.”

The exhibition will cover a broad range of rental-led equipment and supporting solutions, including earthmoving and excavation machinery, road construction and compaction equipment, concrete equipment, cranes and lifting solutions, material handling systems, power and utility equipment, specialised machinery and attachments. Fleet management, telematics, maintenance, inspection, training and safety services will also form part of the exhibition. Aerial work platforms, including boom lifts, scissor lifts and truck-mounted platforms, will be an important segment.

Dharak Dedhia, President, Aerial Platform Association of India, said, “A strong rental market depends on fleet availability, maintenance discipline, trained operators, safety standards and dependable service support. India RentX will create a dedicated forum for rental companies, equipment users and industry partners to address these priorities across the broader construction-equipment market. Aerial work platforms will be an important part of this larger ecosystem.”
The launch comes as India continues to see investment across infrastructure, real estate and industrial development. Equipment rental is increasingly being considered by project owners and contractors seeking greater flexibility in capital expenditure, asset utilisation and equipment deployment according to project-specific requirements.

Beyond rental companies, the exhibitor base will include equipment manufacturers, dealers, fleet-technology providers, maintenance and inspection specialists, training organisations and other service partners. Visitors will be able to evaluate equipment availability, fleet strength, maintenance practices, safety documentation, operator support, service response, technology integration and commercial models.

Shrikumar Kothari, Head Purchase, Ashoka Buildcon Mumbai, said, “Rental equipment offers the freedom to scale machinery as project requirements change, without the burden of ownership, maintenance, or idle equipment costs. With maintenance handled by the hiring agency and skilled operators and drivers readily available, you can ensure uninterrupted manpower and equipment continuity—keeping your project moving safely, efficiently, and without delays.”

Gnanesh Gala, Managing Director, Navneet Education Ltd, said, “Technology, utilisation patterns, warehouse requirements and project needs are constantly evolving. In such an environment, opting for rentals rather than committing to capital expenditure gives us greater flexibility and allows us to scale our requirements as they change. A single platform that brings together multiple rental options and vendors is extremely valuable for project directors, enabling them to explore and evaluate the right solutions for their ever-growing rental needs.”

With its focus on equipment access, fleet management, service support and rental-led solutions, India RentX is set to provide a dedicated meeting point for stakeholders across India’s construction and infrastructure equipment ecosystem.
