Cummins India unveils engine platforms and hydrogen solutions at Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025

Cummins Group in India made a resounding statement at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 with the launch of its groundbreaking HELM™ (Higher Efficiency, Lower Emissions, Multiple Fuels) engine platforms, solidifying its position as a leader in innovative and sustainable power solutions for the commercial vehicle (CV) market.

The highlight of the launch was the next-generation L10 engine, a high-performance offering based on Cummins’ advanced 10 ltr HELM™ platform. Designed to meet Bharat Stage VI (BSVI) standards and adaptable for future BSVII and Euro 7 emissions norms, the L10 engine aims to redefine productivity and efficiency in logistics while addressing environmental sustainability.

Adding to its portfolio, Cummins also introduced an advanced Hydrogen Fuel Delivery System (FDS) featuring Type IV on-vehicle storage vessels. The system is a critical innovation to support India’s growing hydrogen economy, tackling challenges in hydrogen fuel storage and enabling greater adoption of hydrogen-powered commercial vehicles.

Another significant launch was the B6.7N Natural Gas Engine, which offers diesel-equivalent performance with lower carbon emissions. Optimized for the use of compressed natural gas (CNG) and liquefied natural gas (LNG), this engine demonstrates Cummins’ commitment to providing solutions that support India’s energy transition without compromising operational efficiency or cost-effectiveness for fleet operators.

Showcased as part of an integrated powertrain concept, these new products reflect Cummins’ deep understanding of the Indian CV market and its forward-looking approach to delivering versatile, high-performance, and sustainable technologies. The HELM™ platforms, in particular, underline the company’s focus on fuel-type flexibility, offering customers the choice of advanced diesel, natural gas, or hydrogen variants to meet diverse operational needs and sustainability goals.

Unveiling the innovative solutions, Jane Beaman, Vice President – Global On-Highway and Pickup Business, Cummins Inc, stated: “Our world is at a pivotal moment in its journey to lower emissions. In line with our Destination Zero™ strategy, we are committed to supporting industry-wide decarbonization through a portfolio of diverse power solutions. The products on display at Bharat Mobility Global Expo are testimony to our ability to deliver advanced low-and-reduced carbon technologies today, while innovating zero carbon solutions for tomorrow. These innovations not only future proof our customers’ businesses but also set the stage for the next era of smarter, cleaner, and integrated power.”

Nitin Jirafe, Managing Director, Tata Cummins Pvt Ltd, and Head, Engine Business, Cummins India, emphasized: “At Cummins, we have always believed in designing solutions that not only meet the needs of our customers but also contribute meaningfully to our country’s progress. The products launched today align with transformative Viksit Bharat and Make in India initiatives, while addressing the evolving needs of the commercial vehicle industry. Collectively, these offerings will give our customers the power of choice, enabling them to select the right technology for their needs while supporting the economic and environmental aspirations of the nation.”

With these launches, Cummins reinforces its leadership in sustainable power solutions, paving the way for a cleaner and more efficient future for India’s commercial vehicle industry.
