Blue Energy Motors Ltd has signed an MoU with the Government of Maharashtra at the World Economic Forum in Davos. The agreement outlines plans to invest Rs 3,500 crore in establishing a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in the state, aiming to produce 30,000 electric trucks annually.
The proposed facility will feature advanced R&D capabilities, a battery-pack production line, motor manufacturing units, and EV charging infrastructure. Slated to begin operations in the fiscal year 2025-26, the project is expected to create over 4,000 direct jobs, supporting Maharashtra’s efforts in driving industrial growth and transitioning to sustainable mobility.
Commenting on the development, Anirudh Bhuwalka, CEO, Blue Energy Motors, stated, “We are excited to announce this landmark partnership with the Government of Maharashtra.
