Mahindra Expands LCV Lineup with Launch of FURIO 8

Mahindra’s Truck and Bus Division has unveiled the FURIO 8, a new addition to its Light Commercial Vehicle (LCV) portfolio, further reinforcing its position in the Indian goods transport segment. Developed at the company’s advanced manufacturing facility in Chakan, Maharashtra, the FURIO 8 is tailored to address the evolving demands of the logistics industry with a focus on profitability, reliability, and driver-centric design.

Offered in both 4-tyre and 6-tyre cargo configurations, the FURIO 8 brings segment-leading fuel efficiency and payload capacity to fleet operators and small business owners. It is designed to deliver enhanced earnings through lower total cost of ownership, minimal maintenance requirements, and an ergonomically advanced cabin that prioritizes driver comfort and safety.

A key differentiator of the FURIO 8 is Mahindra’s bold performance guarantee — a first-of-its-kind offer where customers are assured of the highest mileage, or they can return the truck. This assertive positioning underscores the brand’s confidence in the vehicle’s engineering and economic value proposition. The vehicle is being promoted as more than a truck — it is being presented as a catalyst for business transformation.

The FURIO 8 is also backed by two robust service guarantees. Mahindra promises a 36-hour turnaround time for workshop services, with monetary compensation for delays, and a 48-hour on-road assurance to ensure vehicle uptime. These measures are aimed at reducing downtime and increasing business continuity for truck owners.

At the technological forefront, the FURIO 8 is equipped with Mahindra’s iMAXX telematics platform as a standard offering. This intelligent system delivers a suite of connected services, including real-time vehicle tracking, geofencing, health diagnostics, driver behaviour monitoring, and performance dashboards. The platform enables fleet operators to optimize operations, proactively manage maintenance, and improve decision-making across logistics chains.

The FURIO 8 is the latest milestone in Mahindra’s broader commercial vehicle strategy, which spans the LCV, ICV, and HCV segments. Vehicles are produced across two strategic manufacturing locations — the Chakan plant in Pune, dedicated to Intermediate and Heavy Commercial Vehicles, and the Zaheerabad plant in Telangana, which caters to the LCV and bus segments.

To ensure consistent after-sales support, Mahindra has established a comprehensive service ecosystem, comprising 87 full-range dealerships, over 180 authorized service centers, more than 2000 spare parts retailers, 80+ Mahindra Care outlets, 22 M-Parts Plazas, and a fleet of 200+ mobile service vans offering roadside assistance. A 24×7 multilingual helpline further ensures seamless customer engagement and technical support across the country.

With the introduction of the FURIO 8, Mahindra continues to push the boundaries of performance, digital integration, and customer assurance in the commercial vehicle space. Positioned as a smart, dependable, and profitable asset, the FURIO 8 aims to empower transporters and fleet operators to drive growth and efficiency in an increasingly competitive marketplace.
