Escorts Kubota is gearing up for a major expansion with plans to invest Rs 4,500 crore in a new tractor manufacturing facility in Uttar Pradesh. The Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) has earmarked 200 acre of land in Sector-10 for the project, setting the stage for one of the largest investments in the state’s agricultural machinery sector.
The initiative is expected to unfold in phases, creating close to 4,000 jobs. The first phase involves an outlay of Rs 2,000 crore for setting up a tractor plant, a commercial equipment unit, and allied facilities. Subsequent phases will be driven by market demand and production capacity utilisation.
The upcoming facility will serve both domestic and export markets, reinforcing India’s role as a global hub for farm equipment. Alongside manufacturing, Escorts Kubota also plans to develop shared services for Kubota’s international R&D operations out of India, further boosting the country’s contribution to agricultural machinery innovation.
The new project is poised to strengthen Uttar Pradesh’s positioning in industrial growth and agricultural mechanisation.
