JK Lakshmi Cement sets Rs 1,816 crore plan in motion for Chhattisgarh expansion

JK Lakshmi Cement is moving ahead with a large-scale capacity expansion in Chhattisgarh, committing Rs 1,816 crore to strengthen its manufacturing base in the state. The company has formalised its plans through a memorandum of understanding signed at the Chhattisgarh Investor Connect event, signalling a renewed push to scale operations in one of its key production regions.

Under the proposed development, the company will add 2.31 MTPA of clinker capacity and 1.2 MTPA of cement-grinding capacity at its existing facility. The enhancement is aimed at supporting rising construction activity across Eastern and Central India, where demand for building materials has been consistently climbing.

The expansion also aligns with the company’s broader roadmap to lift its total production capacity to around 30 MTPA in the coming years. By reinforcing its clinker backbone and boosting grinding efficiency, JK Lakshmi Cement is positioning itself to serve high-growth markets more effectively while improving supply reliability across its distribution network.

This investment marks a significant phase in the company’s growth strategy, reflecting its intent to scale sustainably and stay competitive in an increasingly demand-driven market.
