NRB Bearings has formalised a joint venture with Italy-based Unitec Group, a part of the Mondial conglomerate, to expand its presence in the industrial cylindrical roller bearings (CRB) segment. The collaboration is expected to strengthen NRB’s portfolio across industrial, off-highway, and advanced technology applications.
Under the agreement, a modern LEED-certified manufacturing facility will be established in Uppal, Hyderabad, dedicated to CRB production. NRB will oversee manufacturing operations, while Unitec will contribute specialised technical support and operational know-how. The arrangement also includes Unitec’s commitment to procure 20 per cent of the joint venture’s annual output. Additionally, both companies will exclusively promote each other’s product lines in their respective domestic markets, enhancing global reach.
Unitec, backed by the long-standing legacy of the Mondial Group, is known in Europe for designing and producing high-precision industrial bearings tailored to mission-critical applications. With over eight decades of expertise and annual revenues surpassing €60 million, the Mondial Group has maintained its reputation in motion-technology systems and engineered components. The partnership positions NRB to tap into this engineering depth while widening its footprint across global industrial sectors.
