Cummins in India showcased its latest advancements in power technology at CII EXCON 2025, with the unveiling of a CPCB IV+ compliant 82.5 kVA genset designed to address the evolving power requirements of India’s construction, infrastructure and fast-growing quick-commerce sectors.
The newly introduced genset features a compact footprint, superior fuel efficiency and optimized performance, offering a cleaner and smarter power solution for both prime and continuous applications. As part of its EXCON display, Cummins India also presented its portfolio of advanced diesel and hydrogen internal combustion engines, along with next-generation after-treatment technologies, underscoring its focus on sustainability and future-ready solutions.
With over six decades of presence in India, Cummins continues to play a significant role in supporting the country’s industrial and infrastructure growth. Among the highlights was the 82.5 kVA CPCB IV+ genset, part of Cummins India’s CPCB IV+ compliant portfolio launched in 2023. The latest iteration represents a next-generation design that is more compact, more reliable and offers enhanced overall performance, with low noise levels and high fuel efficiency.
In addition, Cummins displayed its QSB4.5, L10 and M15 diesel engines catering to a wide range of construction, mining and high-duty applications. These engines feature electronic controls, improved fuel economy, higher power density and localized manufacturing to ensure strong service support across India.
A key attraction at the pavilion was the B6.7H hydrogen internal combustion engine, which runs on green hydrogen and delivers zero carbon emissions while offering diesel-like performance and serviceability. Built on Cummins’ fuel-agnostic architecture, the engine aligns with India’s long-term transition towards low-carbon mobility.
The company also showcased its 9-inch Single Module™ aftertreatment system, a compact and lightweight solution designed to meet stringent emission norms while offering high localization and improved reliability.
