Salasar Techno Engineering Ltd has been awarded a prestigious Rs 232 crore turnkey transmission line project by Uttar Pradesh Power Transmission Corporation Ltd (UPPTCL). The project is backed by international funding from KfW (Kreditanstalt für Wiederaufbau), Germany’s state-owned promotional and development bank, underscoring its significance in supporting socio-economic development through robust power infrastructure.
Awarded in November 2025, the project involves the engineering, detailed design, supply, erection, testing, and commissioning of a 400 kV DC Twin Moose Banda–Chitrakoot transmission line, covering a length of approximately 130 kilometres. Upon completion, the line is expected to play a critical role in strengthening Uttar Pradesh’s power transmission network by improving grid stability and reliability, reducing transmission losses, and catering to the state’s rising electricity demand driven by rapid urbanisation and industrial growth.
Commenting on the project win, Shashank Agarwal, Managing Director, Salasar Techno Engineering Ltd, said, “This prestigious UPPTCL project reaffirms Salasar’s proven capability to deliver large-scale, high-voltage transmission projects of national importance. Our integrated EPC expertise, strong execution framework, and unwavering focus on quality, safety and timely delivery enable us to consistently meet the expectations of India’s Transmission and Distribution (T&D) ecosystem.
