Studio by Agni introduces Udaipur armchair with craft-led design approach

Studio by Agni has expanded its furniture line with the launch of the Udaipur armchair, a design that reflects a considered blend of materiality, craftsmanship, and architectural influence.

The armchair is presented in a deep brick hue, combining cotton velvet upholstery with a solid oak wood framework. Its form is structured through sharp, defined lines, balanced by the inclusion of hand-woven cane panels that introduce texture and depth. This combination creates a dynamic interplay of light and shadow, allowing the piece to subtly evolve in appearance across different lighting conditions.

Drawing inspiration from the architectural character of Udaipur, the design references traditional jaali elements known for their role in filtering light and moderating heat. This influence is interpreted through the chair’s semi-open composition, where cane sections offer visual permeability while the wooden frame provides structural stability. Upholstered cushions featuring delicate floral patterns add softness, contrasting with the geometric clarity of the base.

Positioned as more than a functional seating solution, the Udaipur armchair is designed to enhance spatial experience. It integrates seamlessly into contemporary interiors, including living areas, reading spaces, and private lounges, offering both comfort and a distinct visual identity.
