Adani Mundra Airport commences scheduled commercial flight services

Adani Mundra Airport has commenced its first scheduled commercial flight operations, marking a significant milestone in enhancing regional air connectivity and supporting economic development in Gujarat’s Kutch region. The new services, operated in partnership with Star Air, connect Mundra with major cities including Mumbai and Goa, while also extending links to Hindon, Surat, Belagavi, Bengaluru, Kolhapur and Nanded.

The introduction of these routes is expected to improve connectivity for business travellers, industries and tourists, while reducing travel time and strengthening access to one of India’s most important logistics and industrial hubs. The expanded air network is anticipated to support trade, commerce and investment by providing faster movement of people across key commercial centres.

Developed to support both passenger and cargo operations, the airport features a 1,900-metre runway capable of handling a wide range of aircraft. The terminal is equipped with modern passenger amenities, including multiple check-in counters, spacious waiting lounges, dedicated parking facilities, food and beverage outlets, wheelchair accessibility and organised passenger drop-off zones.

The airport also complements the operations of Mundra Port and the Mundra Special Economic Zone (SEZ), creating a stronger multimodal transport ecosystem. Improved air connectivity is expected to enhance supply chain efficiency by providing an important link between the region’s port, industrial infrastructure and domestic business destinations.

With the launch of scheduled commercial services, Adani Mundra Airport is positioned to play a larger role in supporting the economic growth of Kutch by facilitating trade, industrial development and tourism. The development further strengthens the Adani Group’s integrated infrastructure portfolio, which includes the management of multiple airports across India, enabling greater synergy between its aviation, logistics and port businesses.
