Interview - Ambarish T P, Technical Head, Powernet Solutions Pvt Ltd

Manufacturing and supplying cost effective elevator products mainly in Southern India, Powernet Solutions is now venturing into the Northern region too. Ambarish T P, Technical Head, Powernet Solutions Pvt Ltd talks on the latest technology in their products and future plans for the company.

What are the products that you are displaying at IEE Expo?

Here, we have Elevator Manufacturing Controllers, Elevator Controller and varieties of LOP and COPs. The COPs means the car operated panel inside the cabin and LOP means the landing operated outside the panel. We have Hydraulic Controllers and also Traction Controllers. Hydraulic means it is pushed by oil servers and Traction means it is a vertical transport system by guidance. And we have air device that is automatic, which means when you are in the lift cabin and if the power is gone, it can rescue to the nearest floor. Then the passenger is not worried to get down from the lift. It will avoid the panic.

What is your opinion on the current market situation?

Now in the present situation, there is tough competition in the market. We are from Bangalore so in the South India we are seeing that the economical growth is very down. We are facing many competitions actually, so we are not going through everywhere in the South India and North India. But after this IEE Expo, I think we will get very good response.

What is your strategy for the government’s “Smart Cities” program?

When the government is taking very good decision on the Smart Cities and when the cities become smart then we are also offering smart products. Elevator is a major product when buildings are made then the elevator product requirement is more. Yes, smart cities do need elevators most probably.

What are your plans for the 2020?

Actually our plan is to emerge in this exhibition and after that we are taking over our market into North India. We are extending into North, and yes we are basically from the South and we want to expand to the north too.

What are your plans for the future of the company?

Next we are going to the overseas, with our very good quantity and quality products.

Anything else which you have added in the biometric system which gives you that leading edge?

We have a bluetooth system and also IOT system. With the GSM system we can see what is happening in our lift by our mobile or on system through internet, so it’s like a camera itself. This is the first time that we have integrated into the LOP and COP systems.
