What are the milestones achieved by your company under your leadership?
We achieved Rs 200 crore sales revenue during FY18-19 year. In last couple of years, we opened 5 ‘Swift Centers’ spread over India to ensure swift delivery. We have entered in various segment where we had either low presence or no presence. Today we have number of applications wherein our products are running successfully.
Tell us about the recently launched products.
Right angle planetary geared motor for Pug mill application. Construction industry mostly used synchronized twin shaft mixers. Application is like, two gearbox mounted on each mixing shaft and synchronized with joint. Gearbox need to have pulley mounting and Synchronization arrangement at input shaft
Quality and pricing – how will you balance this equation to cater to a price-sensitive market?
By cutting edge technology, inventory management, smart procurement strategy, updating skills of operator, process time saving and follow all the quality pillar of TPM (Total productive maintenance system) we establish balance between quality and cost.
Your viewpoint on the market demand dynamics.
The Indian construction equipment market has been on a major upswing since 2015 with the sales of construction equipment growing by 24 per cent and in FY17-19 crossing the 90,000-unit sales. Our current government’s focus is on infrastructure development and make in India to become one of the fastest infrastructure developing countries in the world. The budget allocations for FY 2019-20 indicated towards a continued growth momentum which focus roads, railways, aviation and waterways. At the moment, the industry is going with a slow pace but I am sure that it will bounce back very soon.
What are the problems that are proving as stumbling blocks for the growth of this sector?
We feel that government must lay foundation for the equipment manufacturer as well as lay clear roadmap for the infrastructure sector. There is a need of clear tax structure, government should come up with new projects to boost the sector. Today there is issue of liquidity in the market, because of that there is no circulation of money the market.
How well equipped are you to make deeper inroads into the market?
