Ammann’s ELBA CC150 plants power concrete upgrade of Nashik–Aurangabad Highway

Ammann India has enabled the execution of the Nashik–Niphad–Yeola–Vaijapur–Aurangabad (MSH-2) highway upgrade through the deployment of its ELBA CC150 concrete batching plants. The 56-km brownfield project, undertaken under EPC-59 for the Maharashtra PWD, involves widening the existing two-lane stretch to four lanes and transitioning from bituminous to rigid concrete pavement.

Executed by GHV India Pvt Ltd in joint venture with SB Deshmukh and Forcon Infra Pvt Ltd, the project utilised two high-capacity batching plants delivering a combined output of 1,65,000 cubic m of concrete, including DLC and PQC grades. The plants ensured consistent production, material precision, and uninterrupted operations, critical for brownfield construction conditions.

The system incorporated advanced material handling, multiple aggregate storage units, and large-capacity silos for cement and GGBS, supporting both efficiency and sustainability. The upgraded corridor is expected to enhance connectivity between Nashik and Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar while improving logistics across key regions.

Dheeraj Panda, Managing Director, Ammann India, said, “The completion of this project reflects India’s decisive shift towards long-lasting concrete road infrastructure. The ability to deliver consistent, high-quality concrete at scale, especially in a brownfield environment has been pivotal. The ELBA CC150 plants have demonstrated how advanced batching solutions can streamline construction processes while ensuring superior pavement performance.”
