Lakshmi Niwas Mittal, Chairman, ArcelorMittal has offered to set up an R&D centre in Bangalore to conduct research on various forms of steel usage.
He mooted the idea to Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa at Karnataka Pavilion at Davos during World Economic Forum (WEF) meet.
Mittal has reportedly conveyed to the Chief Minister that the project has run into problems for various reasons.
He urged Yediyurappa to sort out the issues, and he will start work on a solar power plant.
The CM told the steel magnate to work on both solar and steel plants, simultaneously, as per reports.
