Delhhi’s IGI Airport to have an Air Train

Delhi International Airport Pvt Ltd (DIAL) has finalised the route for an “air train” — a dedicated Metro — connecting various terminals of the airport, Aerocity and the hotel centre.  Noted airports such as London Heathrow, New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport, Zurich and Hong Kong etc. have free to use metro lines between their terminals and soon, Delhi’s IGI airport will be first Indian airport to have a dedicated metro line as well for hassle-free transit. DIAL is working on financing the “automated people mover” (APM), and it is likely to cost up to Rs 2,500 crore. It will connect the terminals- T1, T3 and T2 and even Aerocity, the hotel complex located near the international airport.
