FCI Aravali Gypsum and Minerals India (FAGMIL) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the government of Himachal Pradesh for setting up a white cement plant project in Sirmour district. The project worth Rs 605 crore will be the fourth white cement plant in the country. The installed capacity of the plant will be 0.3 million tpa and it will generate direct employment for 150 persons. The plant is expected to be commenced by the year 2022. It will prove to be a milestone for the development of the Sirmour District. FAGMIL is engaged in mining and marketing of mineral gypsum in Rajasthan. It is a Miniratna-II company with its registered office at Jodhpur. It has 15 operating gypsum mines in the state.
