Gainwell strengthens mining truck footprint with record sales and network expansion

Gainwell Trucking Pvt Ltd (GTPL) has reported a strong six-month performance, marked by record equipment deployments across major industrial and mining clusters, expansion of its service infrastructure, and reinforcement of its workforce to enhance customer responsiveness.

During the period, the company sold 320 heavy-duty mining trucks, reflecting sustained demand for its products and service capabilities. GTPL’s installed base has now exceeded 2,000 active machines operating within India’s mine logistics ecosystem, underscoring growing customer reliance and the corresponding need for dependable after-sales support.

The company’s growth trajectory has been supported by strategic alliances, most notably its association with Daimler India Commercial Vehicles (DICV). Since April 2025, GTPL has functioned as an authorised channel partner for BharatBenz mining trucks, a development that has strengthened its market position and broadened its equipment portfolio. Demand has been driven largely by coal mining operations, infrastructure development activities, and aggregate transportation requirements, with significant deployments across West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, and several northern and northeastern states.

To reinforce its presence in critical mining and industrial belts, GTPL established eight new facilities in 2025 at Noida, Ahmedabad, Singrauli, Durgapur, Dhanbad, Jharsuguda, Anuppur, and Talcher. Collectively covering over 35,000 square feet, these centres are equipped to provide integrated services including sales, after-sales support, spare parts management, and coordinated service operations.

Further expansion is underway, with additional locations planned in Hazaribagh and Barbil in the near term. The company’s flagship facility in Asansol, scheduled to become operational this quarter, is designed as a comprehensive service hub featuring advanced repair workshops and a well-stocked parts inventory to ensure higher equipment uptime.

Human resource development remains central to GTPL’s long-term strategy. The organisation currently employs 150 professionals across its sales, service, operations, and support verticals, and has announced plans to induct 100 additional team members in 2026. These hires will be deployed strategically across the expanding network to strengthen field-level engagement and service delivery.

Commenting on the company’s performance and strategic initiatives, Deepak Jolly, Whole Time Director & CEO, Gainwell Trucking Pvt Ltd, said, “Our recent performance reflects the trust our customers place in us and the dedication of our teams across locations. The expansion of our network and workforce underlines our long-term commitment to supporting customers with reliable equipment, faster service, and a strong on-ground presence. As India’s infrastructure and mining sectors continue their growth trajectory, Gainwell Trucking is positioned to be an indispensable partner in our customers’ success stories.”

Surabhi Chaturvedi, Director Operations, Gainwell Trucking Pvt Ltd, further added, “As we scale operations, our priority is building an agile, technology-enabled service ecosystem that anticipates customer needs rather than just responding to them. The talent we’re bringing on board will drive predictive maintenance capabilities, optimise machine utilisation, and reduce downtime—translating directly into better productivity and lower total cost of ownership for our customers.”

With infrastructure investments accelerating and mining activity maintaining steady momentum, prospects for heavy commercial vehicles and mining equipment remain favourable. GTPL’s expanding service footprint, strengthened partnerships, and focus on operational reliability position it to leverage emerging opportunities across India’s industrial growth landscape.
