Odisha SLSWCA sanctions nine projects worth Rs 2,570 crore

The State Level Single Window Clearance Authority (SLSWCA) of the Odisha Government, headed by Chief Secretary Suresh Chandra Mohapatra has sanctioned nine industrial projects in the metal and metal downstream, IT and ESDM, manufacturing, plastic, cement, chemical and food processing sectors. These projects will see an investment to the tune of Rs 2,570.54 crore. The projects include 15 million tpa beneficiation plant in two phases by Amalgam Resources with an investment of Rs 882 crore to be set up in Joda in Keonjhar district; a three million tpa iron ore satellite grinding unit and three million tpa slurry pipeline along with return water pipeline by Ardent Steel against an investment of Rs 80.5 crore to be set up in Banspal in Kenohar.

It is reported that the authority also cleared a manufacturing unit of razor shaving blades of 45 crore units annual capacity and disposable razors of three crore units annual capacity by Safe Lancet Engineering at an investment of Rs 100 crore to be set up in Khordha. An integrated carbon complex with a capacity of 8,75,000 tpa in two phases by Epsllion Carbon Ashoka at an investment of Rs 900 crore will be set up in Rengali in Sambalpur district; while a 120 tpd Chloro-Alkali Complex by Orient Paper and Industries with an investment of Rs 162 crore would be set up in Brajrajnagar in Jharsuguda district.

SLSWCA also cleared a grain-base distillery unit of capacity 200 klpd for manufacturing of ethanol and an IMFL bottling unit of capacity 1.50 lakh cases per annum along with five MW co-generation power plant to be implemented in two phases by Coastal Biotech. The project will entail an investment of Rs 200 crore to be set up in Gajapati district. Ramkay Envior Engineers’ proposal to set up an integrated common hazardous waste treatment, storage and disposal facility in Bujuguda in Rayagada district at an investment of Rs 128.80 crore also received a go-ahead.

A manufacturing unit for production of AAC Blocks and Cement sandwich panels having capacity of 1,50,000m and 3,240 m per annum by HIL at an investment of Rs 63.24 crore to be set up in Balasore; and a manufacturing unit for production of mattress and fibre pillows having combined capacity of 7,00,000 numbers per annum by Century Fibre Plates in Khordha with an investment of Rs 54 crore was also sanctioned.
