PM Narendra Modi lays foundation stones for infra projects in Bihar

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has inaugurated and laid foundation stones for infrastructure projects in Bihar. Out of these, four projects are related to water supply, two are sewerage treatment and one is riverfront development. The total cost of these projects is Rs 541 crore. The implementation of these projects has been undertaken by Bihar Urban Infrastructure Development Corporation under the Urban Development and Housing Department of Bihar. The sewerage treatment plants inaugurated are built under Namami Gange at Beur and Karmalichak, in Patna Municipal Corporation.

The water supply projects built under AMRUT Mission in the Siwan Municipal Council and the Chapra Municipal Corporation were also inaugurated. Foundation stone was also laid for Jamalpur Water Supply Scheme under AMRUT Mission in the Jamalpur Municipal Council and for Muzaffarpur Riverfront Development Scheme, being built under Namami Gange. Under the Muzaffarpur Riverfront Development Scheme, three ghats of Muzaffarpur – Poorvi Akhada Ghat, Seedhi Ghat and Chandwara Ghat will be developed.  The development of the riverfront will boost tourism and make it a centre of attraction in future.
