Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) has named Puneet Kaura, Managing Director & CEO of Samtel Avionics, as Chairperson of its Northern Region for 2026–27, following its Annual Meeting 2026.
Kaura will head one of CII’s most influential regional chapters, which spans key industrial states including Delhi, Haryana, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand and Himachal Pradesh, along with Union Territories such as Chandigarh, Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. Supporting him in the leadership team, Shradha Suri Marwah, Chairperson & Managing Director of Subros Ltd, has been appointed Deputy Chairperson.
With a wide industrial footprint, the Northern Region plays a central role in facilitating policy engagement, strengthening industry partnerships and advancing economic activity across sectors. Under Kaura’s leadership, the regional agenda is expected to prioritise policy advocacy, technology adoption, MSME competitiveness, skilling initiatives, sustainability and deeper member engagement.
The development places Kaura at the forefront of CII’s efforts to strengthen collaboration between industry, government and institutions, while reinforcing the growing influence of corporate leadership in shaping India’s economic and innovation landscape.
