ReNew to Set Up 6 GW Solar Manufacturing Facility in Andhra Pradesh

ReNew is set to establish a Rs 5,400 crore solar manufacturing facility at Rambilli in Anakapalli, marking a major boost to the state’s clean energy ambitions. The project will develop a 6 GW ingot and wafer manufacturing unit, focusing on critical upstream components required for solar module production.

Supported by Andhra Pradesh’s Integrated Clean Energy Policy 2024, the initiative aims to strengthen domestic manufacturing capabilities and reduce reliance on imports. The facility forms part of ReNew’s larger investment pipeline in the state and is expected to be operational within two years.

Once completed, the project is likely to generate significant employment and contribute to India’s renewable energy targets while reinforcing the country’s self-reliance goals in the solar sector.
