SDLG inaugurates its first manufacturing facility in India, poised to produce 1,000 machines annually per shift.

SDLG, part of the Volvo Group, has recently launched its inaugural manufacturing site in India, located in Peenya, Bengaluru. This facility is equipped to manufacture five distinct products and has the capability to produce up to 1,000 machines annually per shift.

The inauguration of this manufacturing hub signifies a strategic move for SDLG in the Indian market. With this establishment, SDLG India aims to bolster its presence and accelerate growth, aligning with the evolving needs of its customer base.

Surat Mehta, Head of SDLG Business in India, commented on the milestone, stating that SDLG Growth Machines have garnered recognition among customers in various sectors such as quarrying, mining, roads, railway siding, and ports. The facility’s launch underscores SDLG’s commitment to meeting market demands efficiently.

The introduction of the manufacturing site also hints at an upswing in production activities and the introduction of new products and services tailored to the Indian market’s requirements.
