Shree Cement Ltd has inaugurated its first Greenfield Ready Mix Concrete (RMC) plant in Hyderabad, introducing Bangur Concrete to the market. The event, graced by the presence of Shree Cement’s Chairman H M Bangur, signifies the company’s commitment to innovation and expansion within the core cement business.
With a capacity of 90 m³ per hour, the new RMC plant aligns with Shree Cement’s vision to become a multi-product player in the industry. Following the recent acquisition of five operational plants of StarCrete LLP in Mumbai, totaling an investment of Rs 33.5 crore, the company’s combined RMC capacity now stands at an impressive 512 m³ per hour.
Neeraj Akhoury, Managing Director, Shree Cement Ltd, expressed optimism about venturing into the Ready Mix Concrete sector, acknowledging its vast potential amidst India’s infrastructure and housing sector growth. He stated, “This venture into Ready Mix Concrete marks our entry into a promising new line of business.
