Tata Steel's cutting-edge construction service centre in Ludhiana epitomises innovation, reshaping the industry landscape.

Tata Steel has inaugurated a cutting-edge, fully automated construction service centre in Ludhiana. Spearheaded by Ashish Anupam, Vice President, Long Products, Tata Steel, the inauguration ceremony witnessed the presence of senior company officials and esteemed representatives from channel partners.

Spread across 5 acre, this state-of-the-art facility boasts a remarkable production capacity of 1,500 TPM (ton per month). It is poised to offer bespoke reinforcement products and solutions tailored to the needs of the construction industry. The centre will specialise in the production of customised Cut & Bend Tata Tiscon TMT rebars, Bore Pile Cages, and Coupler threading under Tiscon ReadyBuild. In a strategic collaboration with channel partner Krishna Business Associates, the facility aims to expand its downstream solutions portfolio to include Welded Wire Mesh, positioning itself as a comprehensive ‘One-Stop Downstream Construction Service Centre.

Ashish Anupam, Vice President, Long Products, Tata Steel, expressed his enthusiasm, stating, “This venture reinforces the Company’s commitment towards shaping India’s construction sector through our growing focus on the Downstream Business. Through our partnership with Krishna Business Associates, we aim to deliver customised innovative offerings for the construction sector and address the growing infrastructure demand in the region.”

Moreover, the Company organised a noteworthy ‘Converse to Construct’ meet in Chandigarh, attracting over a hundred customers and consultants from various sectors. The event featured eminent industry speakers Spartaco Pluchinotta from TJK Machinery and Prashanth Kumar Sreram from NICMAR. Their insightful presentations on ‘Latest Construction Technologies Across the World’ and ‘Role of Green Steel in Construction’ highlighted the Company’s commitment to innovation and excellence.

Tata Steel’s fully automated service centres are reshaping the construction landscape, positioning the company as a knowledge-intensive leader. This strategic move underscores Tata Steel’s dedication to innovation and excellence, transcending traditional steel production to emerge as a holistic solution provider for the construction sector. With plans to establish 10 such centres across the country by 2025, Tata Steel remains steadfast in its commitment to driving progress in the construction industry.
