TK Elevator has commenced work on the expansion of its manufacturing facility in India, marking a significant step in reinforcing its production and supply chain capabilities. The development begins with a groundbreaking ceremony and aligns with the company’s long-term growth strategy in the country.
The expansion project will add nearly 10,000 square metres to the existing facility, aimed at improving production efficiency while strengthening warehousing and logistics operations. Construction is currently underway, with the upgraded facility expected to become operational by August 2027.
Once completed, the additional capacity is set to support higher production volumes and offer greater flexibility to meet demand across India’s low-to-mid-rise building segment, along with infrastructure and commercial developments. The enhanced logistics setup is also expected to improve responsiveness for the company’s service and modernization businesses by ensuring better product availability and faster turnaround.
Commenting on the milestone, Ravikrishnan Srinivasan, CEO India, TK Elevator, said:
“This expansion demonstrates our commitment to strengthening local manufacturing and logistics capabilities to support sustainable growth in India. By enhancing our capacity and operational readiness, we aim to better serve customers across key segments. Together with continued execution improvements at the branch level, we are well positioned to support our customers’ needs and participate in India’s long term economic development.”
With a strong presence in elevators, escalators, and moving walk solutions, TK Elevator continues to expand its footprint in India through investments in manufacturing, service networks, and technology-driven urban mobility solutions, supporting the country’s evolving infrastructure and urbanisation needs.
