UAE partners with Telangana for Bharat Future City

The United Arab Emirates has agreed to partner with the Telangana government in developing Bharat Future City as a global urban hub. The decision was discussed during a meeting between UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism Abdulla bin Touq Al Marri and Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

The collaboration will focus on large-scale infrastructure development, with plans to set up a joint task force to fast-track the project. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy presented the Telangana Rising 2047 vision, which aims to transform the state into a $3 trillion economy by 2047.

Bharat Future City, spread over 30,000 acres, is planned as India’s first net-zero greenfield smart city, with dedicated zones for AI, education, healthcare, industry, residential, and entertainment. Global companies such as Marubeni, Semcorp, and Reliance Group’s Vantara have already joined the project.

In parallel, Saudi-based conglomerate Expertise has shown interest in partnering with the Young India Skills University to recruit around 5,000 skilled professionals annually. The Telangana government also stated that Google has expressed interest in collaborating on agriculture and climate-related solutions, including sustainable farming and soil health initiatives.
